Laser Operative
Summary of Position: Working with your shift to safely Manage CNC Laser cutting machinery maximizing ‘beam on’ production whilst also ensuring production of quality finished components for our customers.
Primary Responsibilities to include:
- Handling material from central stock system using forklift and crane equipment.
- Loading machine with sheet material
- Loading and setting of machine to include maintenance jobs.
- Checking of part quality and correct to drawings.
- Mark, Stack and Pack parts ready for dispatch.
- Maintain tidy and safe workspace around you and machine
- Alongside laborer’s it may be required of you to run more than one machine where efficient to do so.
Competencies Expected:
- Trumpf Tube and Flat Laser Machine experience ideal
- Heavy Engineering experience
- Overhead Crane proficient
- In date Counterbalance truck license (Ideally)
- Valid Driver’s License (Ideally)
Working hours
Revolving shift work requiring minimum of 40 hours per week.
Ample opportunities for overtime were required.

Operator Assistant and Labourer
Job title: Operator Assistant and Labourer
Department: Production
Reporting to: Foreman and Production Manager
Hours of work: 2 Shift pattern (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am)
The Candidate: The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with an eagerness to help and learn the various processes carried out throughout the shop floor. They will be in direct contact with customer orders and will contribute to the high level of quality and service we provide.
General Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Loading material onto machines
- Unloading cut parts and scrap material
- Marking up parts
- Grinding/Cleaning up of parts
- General house keeping and some heavy lifting required.
- Assisting operators with the cutting and management of customer orders.
Experience a preference but not essential, ideally the candidate will possess a valid Fork Lift Truck licence with Overhead Crane experience but again not essential. Pending a successful initial period, we will provide training and licencing for both.
If successful in the role there will be opportunity to progress to various machine operating roles with all necessary training provided by the company.
