When it comes to quality assurance, we here at Laser Cutting Co continually invest into the very latest and most advanced laser cutting technology, which also means taking compliance and quality assurance seriously. To ensure a superior product and service every time, we undergo extensive auditing and successfully renew our Factory Production Control certificate every year; signifying that we fully conform to BS EN 1090-1:2009/A1:2011 standards for the thermal cutting and profiling of both steel and aluminium components to execution class 3
By making continuous strides towards improvement, we are able to fully comply with EU standards, and can provide CE ready laser cut tubes, boxes, sections and sheet parts for the construction of steel structures (class EXC 1 up to EXC 3) and much more. This also means that to maintain our CE compliancy, our customers must specify the job required at the enquiry stage. This is so we are able to source steel from CE compliant steel mills, follow the correct processes, as well as providing relevant test certificates. However the question on some people’s lips is this: what even is CE marking, and why is it important?
What Is CE Marking?
Many of us are familiar with this logo, however, not many know what it actually means. Usually located on products and goods, a CE marking is an internationally recognised accreditation which signifies that the goods being sold meet all strict health and safety standards, and to certify that they are of a certain quality necessary to be compliant.
It is incredibly important that manufacturing products are CE compliant, as it ensures that any materials or products being supplied meet all of the essential standards and regulations. By ensuring that our materials are sourced from responsible CE accredited suppliers, as well as dedicating ourselves to only ever producing BS EN 1090-1:2009/A1:2011 standard components, we are able to prevent any potential accidents and injuries, whilst also providing a long lasting and superior product down the line!
Quality Assurance = A Quality Service
Because of our strict adherence to laser cutting quality control and assurance, we are able to cut a wide range of steel sections and metal work profiles for a plethora of applications throughout the construction industry. We are committed to always providing an exceptional service from start to finish, which is why we endeavour to ensure that all of our laser cut parts conform to EU legislation and the Construction Products regulation (CPR).
Not only this, but by utilising only the very best in laser cutting technology, 24/7 production, and offering nationwide delivery, we aim to make every aspect of our service as top quality as the steel we cut.
UKCA Accreditation & Brexit
Following Brexit, it became necessary for British industries to develop a new version of the CE accreditation. Standing for ‘UK Conformity Assessed’, the UKCA accreditation acts as the new certification system for various goods and products sold across England, Scotland and Wales. Due to this new regulation, all products that formally featured a CE mark will carry a UKCA mark; having both accreditations on your product will ensure that your goods can be sold in the UK and the EU.
