As one of Sheffield’s leading laser and tube cutting companies, we have been invited again to produce the Made In Sheffield awards trophy in partnership with Durham-Duplex, Sheffield Assay Office and the Sheffield Metal Polishing Company Ltd.
More than just a brand, the Made in Sheffield mark is an internationally renowned symbol of quality and heritage of the city’s manufactured products.
Held in the magnificent Cutlers’ hall, next month’s annual black-tie event celebrates the very best in design, manufacturing and innovation that the city of Sheffield has to offer.
The event is an opportunity to highlight the world class reputation and quality that local companies from across our region possess, rewarding those who excel in the areas of the six different categories, which include; Made in Sheffield Award, Innovation Award, SME Award, Investment in People Award, Apprentice of the Year and Exporter of the Year.
Winners of each category will receive a coveted Made in Sheffield trophy which has been designed, manufactured and finished entirely in Sheffield by local companies. Even the concept of the trophy has its roots in the city as it is the brainchild of former Sheffield Hallam university students, Tom Fripp of Fripp Design and Research, Neil Frewer and Lewis Green.
As Sheffield’s leading laser tube cutting specialist, The Laser Cutting Company is donating 6 laser cut trophies for this year’s winners, manufactured from Sheffield Stainless Steel. This will be the 6th year that the Darnall based company has provided the laser cut components for the trophy in conjunction with Durham-Duplex, the Sheffield Assay Office and the Sheffield Metal Polishing Company Ltd.
